UT Student Paper Endorses Clinton

The Daily Texan student newspaper is apparently miffed by Obama’s snubb of the paper during the debate. The student paper at UT-Austin has endorsed Hillary Clinton. The UT Daily outlined the following major reasons for their endorsement of Hillary over Obama:

Texans Boo George Lopez at Toyota Center

I attended a George Lopez stand-up show at Toyota Center last night. George was in classic form and his delivery was as good as ever. However, towards the tail-end of his routine he started to venture towards politics! As he noted Texas’ March 4th Primary he said and I will paraphrase here:

Tejano Democrats Endorsed Hillary

The Tejano Democrats, a statewide organization, met and voted over a year ago (unlike some Culinary Union I know) in Austin to overwhelmingly endorse Senator Hillary Clinton in Texas.

Obama picks up Mex-Am endorsement

State Rep. Pete Gallego, chairman of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus, has announced he is endorsing Barack Obama for president.
This may help Obama’s numbers with Latinos in Texas. Clinton had a sizeable advantage among that demographic in California.
