Congressional Endorsements

John Murtha, a prominent anti-war democrat, has endorsed Hillary Clinton. Representative Murtha of Pennsylvania is something of a lieutenant to Majority Speaker Pelosi and is also a coveted superdelegate. Tell you the truth I am a little shocked by this endorsment because Pelosi has tacitly signaled her support for Obama’s campaign in recent days.
Texas also [...]

Hillary and Obama Bloggers Clash - DKOS Boycotted!

I have complained frequently that the liberal blogs (mydd, dkos, huffpo, tpm, etc…) and the media have shown overwhelmingly favorable and decidedly pro-Obama blogging/reporting. Now, I have no qualms with people taking up a position and sticking to it (from bloggers) but after a certain point it really just goes to far. The news media [...]

Hillary Clinton Comes Back, Wins: Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island

Hillary Clinton has turned her flagging campaign around in Texas and Ohio. Results from the Texas primary and from Ohio show Clinton will win the two states. Clinton’s Texas win was very close only 3% lead over Obama. I know I predicted it would be a 5 point lead but that wasn’t too far [...]

UT Student Paper Endorses Clinton

The Daily Texan student newspaper is apparently miffed by Obama’s snubb of the paper during the debate. The student paper at UT-Austin has endorsed Hillary Clinton. The UT Daily outlined the following major reasons for their endorsement of Hillary over Obama:

Clinton, as a seasoned politician, is the best person to clean up [...]

Bill Clinton’s University of Houston Rally Speech

I had some technical difficulty getting this video to you sooner but here we go. President Clinton had a smaller crowd gathered at the Hoffeinz Pavilion, but that allowed me to video record the first 10 minutes of his speech from up close. After the endorsement by Chris Bell, Clinton was introduced and he [...]

ARG 49: Clinton 49 vs. Obama 43 , Feb. 15-16th (error +/-4%)

Texans Boo George Lopez at Toyota Center

I attended a George Lopez stand-up show at Toyota Center last night. George was in classic form and his delivery was as good as ever. However, towards the tail-end of his routine he started to venture towards politics! As he noted Texas’ March 4th Primary he said and I will paraphrase here:
Latinos don’t understand [...]

More on Michigan and Florida

In case you’ve been living under a rock, a controversial issue this year is whether voters from Florida and Michigan should have their delegates seated at the Democratic convention. Both states ignored party warnings and moved their primaries up to a date earlier than the rules allowed. As punishment, they’ve had their delegates [...]

Clinton Wins New Mexico

Since the news media washed this out in under a day I thought it deserved some more attention! :)
State Democratic Chairman Brian Colon made the announcement after a marathon hand count of 17,000 provisional ballots that had to be given to voters on Feb. 5 because of long lines and a shortage of ballots. [...]

Superdelegates , Florida, and Michigan

I read a lot of debate and arguments going on about the role of superdelegates and whether or not Florida or Michigan should be allowed to seat their delegates. I must say one argument that is being applied selectively is in favor of Obama. Obama supporters, indeed obama himself, and many liberal blogs says [...]
