Serving up Snark
I’m a sarcastic son-of-a-bitch, so I can’t really criticize anyone else for being a cynical asshole. Something tells me that it’s not the best campaign strategy, though.
CNN anchor Bill Schneider, stunned, responded thusly:
You just heard something remarkable from Senator Clinton a moment ago. She was actually mocking Senator Obama
She seems to have thrown good sense to the wind and is going negative hard in the final weeks before Ohio and Texas. She could have kept running a solid campaign and then bowed out gracefully, salvaging an even more impressive political career. Instead, she seems to have decided to go scorched-earth in these final weeks.
What happened to her lovey-dovey, unified Democratic party, lets-get-along attitude in the debates on Tuesday?
And, you know, no matter what happens in this contest — and I am honored, I am honored to be here with Barack Obama. I am absolutely honored. Whatever happens, we’re going to be fine.
Yeah, Hillary’s a real ray of sunshine . . .
